Blake Sorensen

Bio

Blake Sorensen is the Freshmen Head Coach at Norco High School, where he brings youthful energy, attention to detail, and a growing passion for teaching the game of football. A Moreno Valley, California native, Coach Sorensen began his coaching career in 2023 as a JV Defensive Coach at Norco before being elevated to lead the freshman program in 2024.
Sorensen is a proud product of Valley View High School, where he played from 2016 to 2020 under Coach Dan Barlage. His time as a student-athlete helped shape his leadership style and fueled his desire to give back to the next generation of players through coaching.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) and is committed to continuing his professional growth both on and off the field.
Though early in his career, Coach Sorensen is dedicated to building strong fundamentals, instilling discipline, and creating a positive, competitive environment for Norco’s youngest players. His journey is just beginning, but his impact is already being felt in the Cougar football family.
