Zach Adkins

Bio

Zach Adkins serves as the Quarterbacks Coach for Norco High School Football, bringing a high level of playing experience, quarterback development expertise, and a deep understanding of the game to the Cougars’ offense.
A native of Riverside, California, Coach Adkins began his collegiate playing career at Riverside City College (2010–2012), where he earned 1st Team All-Conference honors in 2012. He transferred to Northwestern State University and played from 2013 to 2014, where he was named the Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year in 2013.
Adkins holds a Master of Education (M.Ed) from Northwestern State University and began his coaching journey alongside Coach Dan Barlage in 2018 at Valley View High School, where he coached through 2020. In 2022, he joined Norco High School as the Freshman Head Coach, and by 2023, he moved into his current role working with quarterbacks across the Varsity and JV levels.
Known for his ability to develop leaders at the quarterback position, Adkins has coached players like Jacob Barlage (University of Nevada) and continues to mentor young athletes with a focus on mechanics, field awareness, and football IQ.
With experience as both a high-level player and coach, Coach Adkins is committed to helping Norco QBs perform with confidence, precision, and poise under pressure.
